Athina Rachel Tsangari

Attenberg was one of the films that got the Greek Weird Wave its name: a 23-year-old who finds the human species strange and repellent lives with her dying architect father in a factory town by the sea. Tsangari watches people the way a naturalist would. In Chevalier, six men on a luxury yacht in the Aegean start a game in which everything about them is compared and measured. Harvest makes a village with no name disappear over seven days.
