Takes that last ten minutes, black-and-white mud and rain, and villages at the end of the world. Tarr adapted the novelist László Krasznahorkai for Satantango, set in a dilapidated Hungarian village where the villagers are waiting on a cash payment. In Werckmeister Harmonies a mysterious circus attraction arrives in a small town and violence follows. The Turin Horse stays with a poor farmer, his daughter and a horse that refuses to work or eat, while a windstorm blows outside.
