Boris Karloff shot four Mexican-American horror films in 1968, near the end of his life, and Juan Ibáñez is credited on all of them. A scientist brings a living rock back to his lab in Fear Chamber and finds it needs human hormones to survive. Relatives gather at a castle for the reading of a will in Macabre Serenade and meet a toymaker whose toys kill. Jack Hill directed Karloff's own scenes in Los Angeles.
