dir. Mike Flanagan · 2017
Being alive often means facing our deepest fears and confronting the parts of ourselves we try to ignore.
"Gerald's Game" is a harrowing psychological thriller that delves into the darkest corners of the mind, where survival hinges not just on physical endurance but on confronting buried traumas. With its claustrophobic setting and relentless tension, this film invites viewers to grapple with the complexities of fear, memory, and the human psyche.
When a harmless game between a married couple in a remote retreat suddenly becomes a harrowing fight for survival, wife Jessie must confront long-buried demons within her own mind - and possibly lurking in the shadows of her seemingly empty house.
