Kick-Ass
dir. Matthew Vaughn · 2010
Taking risks and embracing one's individuality can lead to a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
"Kick-Ass" redefines the superhero genre with its audacious blend of dark humor and comic book aesthetics, following an ordinary teen who dares to don a mask and fight crime. This film is a wild ride through the absurdity of vigilante justice, where the line between heroism and recklessness blurs in a vibrant, action-packed spectacle.
Dave Lizewski is an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan with a few friends and who lives alone with his father. His life is not very difficult and his personal trials not that overwhelming; however, one day he makes the simple decision to become a super-hero, even though he has no powers or training.
