The Last Broadcast
dir. Stefan Avalos, Lance Weiler · 1998
The search for truth can lead to unexpected and dangerous consequences that challenge our understanding of reality.
"The Last Broadcast" masterfully intertwines the allure of urban legends with the chilling depths of psychological horror, presenting a found footage narrative that blurs the lines between reality and fiction. This film invites viewers to confront their own fears and obsessions, making it a haunting exploration of the unknown.
Bristling with equipment, two enthusiastic local access cable TV producers recruit an assistant and venture into a forest in search of the mythical and horrifying Jersey Devil. Days later, only one of the trio emerges. He becomes the prime suspect in the disappearances of the other two. However, a local filmmaker examines extensive footage found at the scene and arrives at a different conclusion.
