The pursuit of a seemingly perfect plan can lead to unexpected consequences that challenge one's understanding of identity and morality.
"In 'The Mastermind,' Kelly Reichardt masterfully weaves a tale of quiet desperation and moral ambiguity, following an amateur art thief whose heist becomes an exploration of identity and purpose. With its contemplative pacing and intimate visuals, this film invites viewers to reflect on the complexities of ambition and the human condition."
