Triangle of Sadness
dir. Ruben Östlund · 2022
The pursuit of status and wealth can lead to unexpected consequences that reveal the true nature of human relationships and survival.
A celebrity model couple boards a luxury cruise, expecting a glamorous escape, only to find themselves in a nightmarish scenario as the ship's captain spirals into chaos. Watching this film is like being thrust into a surreal carnival of excess, where the absurdity of privilege is laid bare against the backdrop of survival and moral ambiguity.
A celebrity model couple are invited on a luxury cruise for the uber-rich, helmed by an unhinged, alcoholic captain. What first appears Instagrammable ends catastrophically, leaving the survivors stranded on a desert island in a struggle of hierarchy.
