Catalan families in summer, filmed from the height of a child. In Summer 1993, six-year-old Frida leaves Barcelona to live with her uncle's family in the countryside after her mother dies. Romería follows a young woman who takes her mother's diary to the Atlantic coast to meet her biological family.
