Their films watch people under pressure at close range: Norman Mailer facing a panel of feminists at New York's Town Hall in Town Bloody Hall, Clinton's strategists in The War Room, pastry chefs sitting France's hardest craft exam in Kings of Pastry, and a lawyer going to court for animal personhood in Unlocking the Cage.
