Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne write and direct together, always about people with almost no margin: a boy abandoned by his father in The Kid with a Bike, two young African migrants in Belgium in Tori and Lokita, teenage mothers living in a shelter in Young Mothers. There is no music, and the camera stays close enough to breathe on them. You spend the film waiting to see what they will do when doing the right thing costs money.
