Ray Peterson is supposed to enjoy a peaceful vacation, but when mysterious new neighbors move in, his idyllic suburban life spirals into a comedic nightmare of paranoia. As he and his friends delve into absurd theories about their neighbors, the film oscillates between humor and a dark critique of suburban life. Watching it feels like a rollercoaster of laughter and tension, where the mundane becomes sinister and the familiar turns bizarre.
He's a man of peace in a savage land. Suburbia. When secretive new neighbors move in next door, suburbanite Ray Peterson and his friends let their paranoia get the best of them as they start to suspect the newcomers of evil doings and commence an investigation. But it's hardly how Ray, who much prefers drinking beer, reading his newspaper and watching a ballgame on the tube expected to spend his vacation.
