With his brother David, Albert Maysles filmed Americans selling, singing and showing off, with no narrator between them and the audience. Salesman follows four door-to-door Bible salesmen and their rivalry. Grey Gardens spends time with Big Edie and Little Edie Beale, mother and daughter, in a crumbling East Hampton mansion full of cats. Albert held the camera, and he was still filming in his late eighties, for Iris.
