outrunning yourself

Warren Schmidt jumps into a motorhome right after retiring in About Schmidt, zero destination and every reason back home to just sit still. Two teenage guys and an older woman drive across Mexico in Y Tu Mamá También on a road trip that outlasts whatever cover story they gave each other. The car, the bus, or the bike keeps moving so nobody has to face what's waiting at the end of the line. The scenery changes, but the person behind the wheel stays exactly the same, and you're just waiting for the moment the road runs out.
