the weight of memory
46 titles
A detective cannot stop reopening a decades-old case in The Secret in Their Eyes. A director's body remembers what his films tried to archive in Pain and Glory. A family lunch in Still Walking carries everything nobody will say about a dead son. The past is still happening to these people, in the present tense, at the table.
The characters carry it in their posture, in their silences, in the way they flinch at a song or a street corner. Nobody here gets the flashback that settles anything. They wake up with it and go to work with it.
